What is your goal in life?

What is your goal in life? Were this question put to people of all nations and races throughout the world, a great variety of answers would be forthcoming. But underlying them all would be this answer: My goal is life! I want to be fully alive. I want fullness of life such that it will never end.

CCC 102 Through all the words of Sacred Scripture, God speaks only one single Word, his one Utterance in whom he expresses himself completely: ⁶⁴

You recall that one and the same Word of God extends throughout Scripture, that it is one and the same Utterance that resounds in the mouths of all the sacred writers, since he who was in the beginning God with God has no need of separate syllables; for he is not subject to time. ⁶⁵

In the beginning was the word

CCC 215 "The sum of your word is truth; and every one of your righteous ordinances endures forever." ³⁰ "And now, O LORD God, you are God, and your words are true"; ³¹ this is why God's promises always come true. ³² God is Truth itself, whose words cannot deceive. This is why one can abandon oneself in full trust to the truth and faithfulness of his word in all things. The beginning of sin and of man's fall was due to a lie of the tempter who induced doubt of God's word, kindness and faithfulness.
